FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method involves carrying out conjunctiva incision along limb, clearing operation zone by temporarily transferring conjunctiva. Superficial scleral flap and deep scleral flap are cut out. The deep scleral flap is removed with internal wall of Schlemm's canal and Descemet membrane adjacent to the Schlemm's canal portion being exposed. Microsurgical instrument is introduced into Schlemm's canal lumen on one or both sides of surgical intervention zone by 0.1-10 mm of Schlemm's canal circumference. Anterior Schlemm's canal wall is destroyed with Descemet membrane being laminated from corneal stroma to 0.1-2mm far from the Schlemm's canal. The anterior eye chamber is not opened. The instrument is removed and polymer draining tubes are implanted on both sides of surgical intervention zone between the corneal stroma and Descemet membrane immediately in front of dilated Schlemm's canal.
EFFECT: widening Schlemm's canal lumen; facilitated intraocular fluid discharge; reduced Schlemm's canal block probability; reduced reparative process influence upon hypotensive effect.
