FIELD: electronic appliances.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for preparing novel allotropic forms of vanadium oxides, in particular nanotubes of vanadium oxide doped with metal cations, which nanotubes as magnetic materials for making spintronic devices, field-controlled transistors, cathode materials for chemical power sources, and catalysts. Method comprises heating reaction mixture, filtration, washing, and drying, wherein reaction mixture is prepared by mixing aqueous solutions of Na, Ca, and Mg vanadates (V) having pH value not higher than 3 and vanadyl sulfate or chloride taken in molar ratio V+5/V+4=1:1.

EFFECT: simplified procedure owing to reduced number of stages and process duration, and improved quality of nanotubes thanks to lack of amines in their structure.
