FIELD: chemical technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for the industrial synthesis of pigments, dielectric and electrode materials, as well as catalysts. First, a vanadium source solution is prepared by dissolving vanadium oxide in citric acid in a molar ratio of V2O5:C6H8O7=1:(2.5÷3.0), with a concentration of vanadium oxide 150-200 g/DM3. Nitrate of at least one di- or trivalent metal is added to the resulting solution of vanadium oxide, taken in a stoichiometric ratio to vanadium oxide V2O5. Then the solution is evaporated and heated to the temperature of self-propagating synthesis (SHS), kept until combustion is completed, and annealing is carried out in two stages with product grinding before each stage: Stage I at a temperature of 450-600°C for 4-10 hours; Stage II at a temperature of 650-850°C for 10-20 hours.

EFFECT: improved productivity of the method for obtaining crystalline simple or complex divalent or trivalent metal vanadates and its scaling.
