SUBSTANCE: invention relates to derivatives of benzamide or phenylacetamide that are ligands of thyroid receptors, and to methods for synthesis of these compounds. Except for, invention claims a pharmaceutical composition possessing activity with respect to thyroid hormone receptor and comprising the effective amount of the claimed compound or its pharmaceutically effective salt in combination with a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier, and a method for its preparing. Also, invention claims a method for prophylaxis, inhibition or treatment of disease depending on expression of T3-regulated gene or associated with metabolism disorder, and this method involves administration of the therapeutically effective dose of the claimed compound in a patient needing for such treatment. The aim of invention involves using a compound for preparing a medicinal agent used for inhibition or treatment of disease that depends on expression of T3-regulated gene or associated with disorder of metabolism.
