FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method involves determining aromatase activity and progesterone receptor content in tumor tissue. Progesterone receptor content being greater than 10 fM/mg of protein per 1 hour and aromatase activity being greater than fM/mg of protein, the neoplasm is considered to be hormone-sensitive, capable of responding to hormone therapy with aromatase inhibitors.
