FIELD: preparation and use of zeolites.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of preparing granulated synthetic A-type zeolite applicable as adsorbents and catalysts and provides a method, which comprises mixing starting components, molding granules, drying and thermally activating them, wherein mixing of components is effected for 0.05 to 20 h in mills loaded in the shock-shear manner at power rating from 0.1 to 200 W/g. Components used for mixing are (i) hydrargillite, hydrated sodium silicate, and hydro-silica gel; or (ii) hydroargillite, hydro-silica gel, and silica; or (iii) hydrargillite, hydro-silica gel, and sodium hydroxide. Thermal activation is accomplished by calcination of granules at 450-500°C for 3-4 h. Use of proposed method allows strength of zeolite granules to be increased by 2.0-2.5 times and dynamic adsorption moisture capacity to be increased by 20-68%.
EFFECT: increased strength and moisture capacity of product.
