FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of high phase purity granular NaY zeolite without binder. The method involves mixing kaolin with powdered NaY zeolite and polyvinyl alcohol in an amount which is such that overall content of initial components in the mixture is as follows, wt %: powdered NaY zeolite 60-70, polyvinyl alcohol 2-3, kaolin - the rest, moistening the mixture until obtaining a homogeneous mass, moulding granules, thermal activation and hydrothermal crystallisation in a sodium silicate solution from a reaction mixture of the following composition: (2.2-2.6)Na2O·Al2O3·(6.5-7.5)SiO2·(155-165)H2O, washing and drying the granules.

EFFECT: granular NaY zeolite obtained without binder has high phase purity, dynamic adsorption capacity and mechanical strength.
