FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method includes mixing kaolin with NaY type zeolite powder, polyvinyl alcohol and white soot, or ground wide-pore silica gel or an aerosil. Overall content of initial components in the mixture is as follows, wt %: NaY type zeolite powder with modulus of 5.5-7.0 55-70; polyvinyl alcohol 1-2; white soot or ground wide-pore silica gel or aerosil 3-7; kaolin - the balance. After mixing, the mixture is moistened, followed by moulding granules, thermal activation, hydrothermal crystallisation in sodium silicate solution, washing and drying the granules.
EFFECT: obtaining high-modulus faujasite without binding materials, characterised by high mechanical strength, crystallinity and dynamic adsorption capacity.
