SUBSTANCE: proposed cast iron contains the following constituents, mass-%: carbon, 2.8-3.6; silicon, 2.0-3.0; manganese, 0.6-1.0; magnesium, 0.005-0.01; calcium, 0.005-0.01; rare-earth metals, 0.2-0.4; copper, 0.02-0.04; barium, 0.003-0.005; zirconium, 1.0-2.0; chromium, 1.0-2.0; the remainder being iron.
EFFECT: enhanced strength of cast iron.
