FIELD: manufacture of insoluble electrode with working layer of lead dioxide used as anode in chemical electric current sources, in electroplating production processes, at regeneration of chromate solutions and other electrochemical processes.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of electrochemically depositing onto surface of base of electrode of titanium, niobium or tantalum preliminary thin layer of lead dioxide whose thickness is no more than 0.05 - 0.1 mm; then closely wrapping copper wire in chemically resistant insulation by one or two layers at pitch equal to wire diameter around electrode coated with thin layer of lead dioxide; then going on process of lead dioxide electroplating until completely growing over wire; electrochemically depositing working layer of lead dioxide with thickness 2 - 3 mm; providing electric contact with working layer of lead dioxide through nickel foil from outer side of electrode; insulating contact zone by means of chemically resistant silicone sealing agent whose surface after its transition to elastic state is squeezed by means of layer of copper wire in chemically stable insulation; applying on copper wire layer of chemically stable silicone sealing agent.
EFFECT: improved chemical stability of electrode.
