FIELD: refrigeration engineering.
SUBSTANCE: heat insulated cryogenic tank comprises pressure-tight outer and inner shells and heat insulation that is interposed between the shells and resistant to the external pressure. The heat insulation is composed of individual evacuated packs made of heat insulating layers that are layered one on the other and mounted in a pressure-tight shell between cold and hot walls. The packs are mounted on the cylindrical surface of the tank. The space between the shells of the tank is filled with a cryogenic neutral gas, e.g., nitrogen or helium. The cold wall of the pack has a flexible member, e.g., made of a closed corrugation for permitting longitudinal and transverse movements. The spacers made of a heat insulating material are interposed between the cold and hot walls.
