FIELD: banknote checking devices.
SUBSTANCE: device contains two linear semiconductor matrices, formed by two layers, each one of which is sensitive to optical radiation with wave lengths different from wave lengths of optical radiation, to which other layers are sensitive. First linear semiconductor matrix scans the banknotes in certain range of spectral sensitivity of semiconductor, and second linear semiconductor matrix scans banknotes in a different range of spectral sensitivity. On basis of signals from both linear semiconductor matrices by means of appropriate combination of such signals, colored image of banknote is produced as well as its image in invisible region of optical radiation spectrum.
EFFECT: provision of simple and inexpensive realization, increased quality of banknote checking due to prevention of distortions in the image, which may result from, for example, parallax errors.
