FIELD: optical laser frequency standards.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method involves additional support of one more derivative of nonlinear absorption or dispersion resonance (other than that used during first stabilization) in frequency stabilization mode with respect to center of nonlinear reference absorption or dispersion resonance. In the process asymmetry of resonance waveform is maintained constant which enhances medium- and long-time frequency stability of lasers with internal absorbing cell by 10-100 times. Proposed frequency stabilization device has two feedback loops, first one being used for frequency stabilization with respect to center of reference resonance and second loop, for stabilizing waveform of reference resonance (that is, position of resonance center proper).
EFFECT: facilitated procedure.
