FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method involves taking psychotherapeutic interview to determine psychoemotional patient condition and to explain the technique used. Life position is cleared, narcosis type, exit from narcosis and state after operation are discussed before operation during the interview therapy. Then, the patient is treated in three stages without breaking verbal contact. Initial action is carried out by slightly rocking patient body in lateral lying position before introducing him/her in meditation state. The therapeutist asks the patient to close eyes and concentrate attention on the body part subjected to operation. Rocking continued until the patient starts swinging the body himself (herself) in rhythm he/she considers to be convenient. Next, the second stage is carried out, in which the patient stops swinging and turns over to assume dorsal position. The therapeutist helps the patient to reveal unconscious images and corporal sensations having appeared during the operation and having come to be significant to the patient and associated to dissociation and to understand symbolic significance of complexes of various levels of the unconscious. The third stage is associated to exit from semantic space into the actual reality to transform nonspecific responses. The therapeutist asks the patient to concentrate on arising corporal sensations and movements in patient body. To make patient become aware of starting transition to the real world, the therapeutist places hands to patient head and asks the patient to start directed motion, letting the patient body to pass through his hands putting some obstacles to this movement. The motion being finished, causes are analyzed that made the operation necessary and their significance in present time for the patient to make him/her conscious of the whole process and determine adaptation resources.
EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of postoperative rehabilitation.
