FIELD: chemical industry; other industries; methods of demercurization of the surfaces polluted by the metallic mercury.

SUBSTANCE: the invention is pertaining to the field of the applied chemistry, in particular, to the methods of demercurization of the surfaces polluted by metallic mercury at its spillage. The invention provides removal of mercury from the surfaces within the more shorter time with the higher effectiveness and with the smaller surface damage, than at usage of the known demercurization solutions. The method includes removal of the mercury drips mechanically, deposition of the water solution on the demercurizating agent and retention of the demercurizating agent on the surface. At that deposit on the surface the water solution of ammonium perchlorate with the concentration from 5 % up to saturated with the time of demercurization of not less than 4-8 hours in the within the temperatures of 4-30°С.

EFFECT: the invention ensures removal of mercury from the surfaces within the more shorter time with the higher effectiveness and with the smaller surface damage, than at usage of the known demercurization solutions.
