SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a composition for demercurization of objects affected by mercury, and can be used to remove mercury (demercurization) of various objects: enterprises that produce or use mercury and mercury devices, vehicles, medical organizations, schools and preschool institutions, as well as residential premises ... The composition for demercurization of objects affected by mercury contains potassium dichromate and water, urea and potassium sulfate in the following ratio of components, wt. %: potassium sulfate - 0.35-0.45, urea - 0.09-0.11, potassium dichromate - 0.002-0.004, water - the rest (up to 1 liter).

EFFECT: increasing the efficiency of removing mercury from objects affected by it, expanding the scope and versatility of the composition in relation to objects consisting of a wider range of dissimilar structural materials, weakening the corrosive effect of the demercurizer on the materials of the object, reducing the time of demercurizing objects affected by mercury.
