FIELD: non-ferrous metallurgy, namely production of aluminum by electrolysis, for example procedures for firing hearth of aluminum cell with fired anodes.
SUBSTANCE: method for firing hearth of aluminum cell with fired anodes comprise steps of covering hearth made of cathode blocks and end peripheral seams with layer of carbon filling; placing fired anodes onto said layer; arranging boundary fired anodes or pair of boundary fired anodes at both sides of each row in such a way that they are shifted to side of end peripheral seam; connecting anode holders of all mounted fired anodes with anode buses of anode bus-bar of aluminum cell and passing electric current through layer of carbon filling; controlling electric current load of fired anodes; shifting boundary anodes and anodes adjacent to them to side of end by value allowable by cap of end peripheral seam.
EFFECT: increased useful life period of aluminum cell.
