FIELD: nuclear engineering; liquid-metal cooled reactor units.
SUBSTANCE: proposed nuclear power unit has reactor cooled with liquid metal (lead or its alloys), as well as steam generator, circulation facilities, and shielding-gas system disposed under free level of core. Effective surface of steam-generator tubing is made of horizontal tubes and gas space within horizontal steam generator casing communicates through blow-out diaphragm, cooler, and filter with atmosphere. Steam-generator tubing is made in the form of horizontal steam-reheat and evaporation tubes whose ends are embedded in steam-generator tube plates. Horizontal tubes are curvilinear, for instance, in the form of flat horizontal coils. Gas volume of steam generator is equal to or greater than coolant volume therein. Combs are sequentially installed in steam-generator tubing from top downwards, their teeth being disposed between horizontal steam generator tubes.
EFFECT: improved mechanical design of nuclear power unit, enhanced safety of reactor unit.
