FIELD: equipment for producing rolled pieces, namely working stands of continuous wide strip hot rolling mills.
SUBSTANCE: working horizontal and vertical rolls are mounted in the same diametrical plane and they are made with possibility of predetermined motion in said plane for restricting closed variable rectangular cross section pass whose mean portion coincides with lengthwise axis of rolling process. Backup rolls, lower horizontal roll and one vertical roll may be moved in horizontal plane across lengthwise axis of rolling process. Upper horizontal roll and other vertical roll may be moved in such a way as above mentioned rolls and in addition along vertical line. Motion values of all rolls in horizontal plane are the same. Each vertical roll has flat end engaging with barrel of respective horizontal roll. Width of vertical rolls consists of 0.28 - 0.30 of their diameters. Each vertical roll is mounted in one bearing unit arranged at side of roll opposite to its flat end. Length of barrel of backup rolls is equal to lp + Δ where lp - length of barrel of horizontal roll, Δ - maximum value of motion of roll in horizontal plane.
EFFECT: reduced metal consumption for producing hot rolled sheet steel due to lowered quantity of crop.
