FIELD: rolled stock production, possibly in shops for cold and hot rolling of ferrous and non-ferrous metals and also at rolling non-metallic materials. SUBSTANCE: rolling stand including housing, rolls, roll drive mechanism, magnetic circuits, coils and electric current source has at least one pair of permanent pull-in electromagnets placed at both sides relative to rolling plane between diametrical planes of rolls mounted in electromagnets. Chocks of rolls are arranged in magnetic circuits with possibility of vertical motion. Magnetic circuits are rigidly joined with base by means of struts made of non-magnetic material. EFFECT: enhanced rigidity of stand, increased reduction values, possibility for controlling strip profile. 2 dwg
