FIELD: coke chemical industry.
SUBSTANCE: method involves charging coke into coke-cooler plenum 1 through charging hole 2. During coke cooling process, water boils in water jacket 4 at temperature of 100 C and water steam is delivered due to pressure difference through upper pipe 5 of water jacket 4 into condenser-heater 7 to be condensed. Condenser flows by gravity through pipeline 9 and returns through lower pipe of water jacket 4 into coke-cooler plenum. Heat released from condensed steam heats air running around heat-exchanging surface of condenser-heater 7. Air is delivered by means of fan 11 and is fed to consumer. Cooled coke is discharged through discharging device 3.
EFFECT: increased economy and efficiency of coke cooling process, improved quality of coke, simplified construction and reduced expenses for manufacture of dry coke cooling apparatus.
