FIELD: applicable for sporting-smoothbore rifle shooting.

SUBSTANCE: the cartridge has a cartridge case, primer cap, ejection powder charge, wad-container consisting of an outer and inner cylinders. Wedge-shaped slots forming petals are made in the outer cylinder, and a star gauge of a pyrotechnical composition is placed in it. The outer cylinder consists of the interconnected upper and lower parts and connected to the inner cylinder by ribs in the form of a vertical grating serving as a shock absorber, ribs 0.6 to 1.0 mm grating serving as a shock absorber, ribs inner side, they secure in position the star gauge that is installed with a support on the upper surface of the vertical grating made with a taper angle of 28 to 32 degrees.

EFFECT: enhanced height of lifting of the signal star gauge, enhanced no-failure ignition of the star gauge and reduced recoil at a shot.
