SUBSTANCE: method comprises setting ball-shaped specimens of a super-conductive wire to be tested in the chute of the dry balancing device provided, bringing the balls into a contact one with the other in a restricted sector space formed by the movable radial baffles, carrying out tests at various temperatures of the balls, determining limit unbalance and critical unbalanced mass of the mechanical system within a given sizes of the working zone of the inner movable part by means of suspending additional weights so that the drum is in a contact with the housing. The quality of the wire is judged by the difference in the critical unbalanced mass determined during acceleration in the balance ring between the tested and reference balls.
EFFECT: enhanced reliability.
