FIELD: designs of anode device of aluminum cells with self-fired anodes and upper electric current supply lead, namely anode pin.

SUBSTANCE: anode pin of anode device of aluminum cell includes steel rod with cylindrical upper portion and cone lower portion. Said steel rod is rigidly secured to electric current supply bar. Relation of length of cylindrical portion of anode pin to length of its cone portion is in range 1 : (1.0 - 1.3). Heat removing ribs are formed on cylindrical portion of anode pin.

EFFECT: improved efficiency of heat removal, decreased outburst of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons from surface of self-fired anode, increased level of coke-cake composition.
