FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to anode pin of self-baking anode in electrolyzers with self-baking anode for production of aluminium with upper current lead. Anode pin contains a cylindrical steel rod in its upper part and a conical rod in the lower part. Lower conical part of anode pin with height H1 is coated with copper layer 0.05-1 mm, wherein lower part of anode pin of height H2 making 0.25 of height H1 is coated with copper layer with thickness of 1 mm, and remaining lower part of height H3 of height H1 is coated with copper layer with thickness of 0.05…0.5 mm.

EFFECT: reduced power consumption in electrolytic cells and creation of uniform current distribution in coal part of aluminium electrolytic cell.
