SUBSTANCE: method involves determining superoxide dysmutase and catalase activity in oral fluid supernatant collected without stimulation during 30 min. Coefficient Kp value is calculated from formula Kp= (CAT₂*100/SOD₂):(CAT₁*100/SOD₁), where CAT is oral fluid catalase activity (mccat/l), SOD is the oral fluid superoxide dysmutase activity (u/mg of protein), 1 is the index before treatment, 2 is the index after treatment. Kp value being equal to or greater than 1.0, the treatment is considered to be ineffective, otherwise it is thought to be effective.
