FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves determining integral residual coefficient describing free radical oxidation and antioxidation protection equilibrium. All values are determined in mixed saliva like maximum chemiluminescence intensity and semi-attenuation period, malonic dialdehyde concentration, superoxide-dismutase and glutathionperoxidase activity. The integral residual coefficient K of saliva giving the relation between the values after treatment and the values before the treatment equal to or greater than 1.0, the treatment is evaluated as ineffective. The value being less than 1.0, the treatment is evaluated as effective. Reduction in the value of K is in direct proportional relationship to increase in treatment effectiveness.
