METHOD FOR MODELING DEGENERATIVE CHANGES OF INTERVERTEBRAL DISKS Russian patent published in 2008 - IPC G09B23/28

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: method involves bending rat tail in Cc V-VI, Cc VI-VII, Cc VII-VIII region at an angle of 40°. Then, circular skin incision is done in Cc XX-XXI rat tail vertebrae projection column. Skin is completely removed from distal area and distal tail part vertebrae resection is carried out at the level of Cc XXI-XXII vertebrae. 1 cm long transverse skin incision is carried out along middle line 1 cm far from LVI-SI vertebrae projection. Skeletted end vertebrae of the distal part are placed into formed wound and fixed to derma with underlying tissues. Then, sutures are placed on the wound and the model is hold until degenerative changes take place in intervertebral disks of middle portion of the tail. The model is held about 2 months long.

EFFECT: prevented postoperative complications.
