FIELD: recovery of nuclear industry radioactive waste formed and accumulated in radioactive pearlitic suspension storage tanks.
SUBSTANCE: reagent in the form of block copolymer of ethylene and propylene oxides based on ethylene-diamine having molecular mass of 3000 to 6000 in phosphate acid solution or sodium dihydrophosphate is introduced in radioactive pearlitic suspension whereupon the latter is mixed up with radioactive waste solutions and glass-forming dopes, stirred, and vitrified.
EFFECT: ability of recovering all highly active pearlitic suspensions including those incorporating long-living nuclides and emptying storage tanks from accumulated pearlitic suspensions.
