VALVE FOR TROCAR (VERSIONS) Russian patent published in 2008 - IPC A61B17/34 

FIELD: medical equipment.

SUBSTANCE: valve can be used for sealing trocars; it can be also used with other medical instrument and devices. According to first version, valve, made of elastic material, has hollow case with edge movable shutter, cap with instrumental opening, main lock in form of first bushing and additional lock in form of second bushing. Instrumental opening has diameter being shorter than lateral size of cavity of case. Main lock in form of first bushing is placed in cap. Hollow case is provided with flange. Additional lock is disposed in flange. First bushing is made for mounting onto second bushing. Movable shutter is made in form of at least two lobes disposed for interaction through ribs or side surfaces. Difference between lateral size of cavity and diameter of instrumental opening equals to 1/8 thickness of cap at least. According to second version of making of valve for trocars, its case has length which doesn't exceed maximal lateral external size of that case. In the second version unlike the first one, case has lateral size being equal to diameter of instrumental opening.

EFFECT: better interaction of sealing elements of trocar's valve with working parts of endoscopic instruments; higher reliability of sealing; ability of replacement of valve when using one sleeve of trocar for different instruments; higher results of operation.
