FIELD: electrical engineering, applicable on electrical rolling stock fed from the contact system of single-phase alternating current.
SUBSTANCE: the method consists in control of rectified voltage and change-over of the accumulated inductance energy of the rectified current circuit to the load in the 1-st and subsequent zones, in this case at a control of the rectified voltage in the 1-st zone control pulses with adjustable angle αcontr are applied to the thyristor of the two arms of the bridge cathode group of this zone, and an additional change-over of the accumulated inductance energy of the rectified current circuit to the load in the time interval from 0 to α0 is accomplished by shunting of the rectified current circuit of this zone by an uncontrolled rectifier.
EFFECT: developed method with a high power factor in all the control zones, the control zones, the 1-st zone inclusion, due to a complete change-over in it in the time interval from 0 to αcontr of the accumulated inductance energy of the rectified current circuit to the load.
