FIELD: shipbuilding; building of motor-sailing ships.
SUBSTANCE: proposed motor-sailing ship has masts, sails, internal combustion engine and propellers. Ship is provided with force and wind direction sensors which are connected with electrical winches and electric motor of capstan drums by means of electrical circuit for automatic control of rigging. In case of storm, sails may be shifted to drum reels through slot available in deck and masts may be shifted from vertical to horizontal position. Masts are made from steel tubes bent to shape of trapezium whose hinges are supported by ship's side walls. Masts are interconnected together and are connected to ship's hull by means of ropes and winches. Masts include latches which are engageable with micro -switches. Sail frames are articulated in upper and lower bases on masts. Swivel bases are interconnected together and are connected with ship's hull by means of ropes and winches. Frames are made from steel tubes and have shape of trapezium. Upper and lower bases of frame are interconnected together by means of several bent metal rods which are used as guides in stretching the sails on frame. Sail securing frames are provided with guides in form of slot in their tubes which are provided with rollers connected with sail tapes.
EFFECT: extended field of application.
