FIELD: aeronautical engineering; forming colored smoke trail for visual indication of aircraft flight trajectory.
SUBSTANCE: proposed device has body with two compartments with partition between them, suspension unit and electrical connector. Generator starting unit is located in first compartment and smoke-forming generator with outlet nozzle is located in rear compartment. Smoke-forming generator is made in form of expendable cassette containing the smoke-forming components. Front head plate of cassette is provided with attachment unit for securing it to partition of body.
EFFECT: enhanced stability and reliability of forming smoke trail under any conditions of flight; repeated use of device due to availability of expendable cassettes.
