FIELD: electrical engineering; electrified transport such as mine battery-powered locomotives.
SUBSTANCE: proposed electric drive has reversing switch in armature circuit, contactless switch connected in series with motor field winding, low-voltage power supply for additional feed of field winding, and diodes of which two ones are connected to armature leads and two other diodes are inserted between field winding and power supply terminal common with reversing switch. Common point of pair of diodes is connected to other terminal of power supply. Low-voltage power supply is connected through additional diode in parallel with circuit formed by field winding and contactless switch. Newly introduced additional diode is connected in series with this circuit.
EFFECT: reduced power requirement of additional-feed source, enlarged range of admissible braking modes due to enhanced tightness of mechanical characteristic in regenerative braking mode.
