SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrically driven vehicles, for example, mine storage-battery locomotives. The traction drive built around a separate excitation motors incorporates a common or independent static inverters in armature circuit, a reversing inverter in the excitation windings circuit and a control device. The reversing inverter is built around a three-phase bridge inverter with its two phases connected to traction motor excitation windings so that the windings like outputs are connected to a common point.
EFFECT: simpler design and higher reliability.
