FIELD: measurement equipment.

SUBSTANCE: method provides for detection of a volume of separated associated oil gas (AOG) in a preliminary water removal unit (PWRU) or a booster compressor station (BCS). The method is realised on the basis of periodical measurements of hydrogen sulfide content in gas liquid products arriving to the PWRU or BCS and oil, intermediate water and AOG divided in these facilities. According to the method, hydrogen sulfide content is measured quantitatively in the gas liquid mixture, oil and water arriving to the PWRU (BCS). On the basis of the material balance they determine mass yield of H2S within AOG. Taking into account the mass concentration of hydrogen sulfide in AOG, they determine the volume of separated associated oil gas per unit of time.

EFFECT: possibility to measure volume of separated associated oil gas without application of gas counters, which increases accuracy of measurements.
