FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: reference alternating voltage equal to arcing voltage is supplied from voltage source. Reference alternating voltage is added to boosting alternating voltage to value of arc initiation and then boosting alternating voltage is lowered to steady arcing voltage. Voltage is decreased at a moment of arc initiation by transformer output winding of which is coupled between output of reference alternating voltage source and general point of two serial diodes connected to rectifier bridge output. Primary winding of auxiliary transformer is parallel to primary and secondary winding of power transformer.
EFFECT: arc stability is increased as electric loss is reduced.
