FIELD: textiles, paper.
SUBSTANCE: method includes illumination of the surface of the test material, measuring parameters of light reflected by the surface, and evaluation of separability. Three standard coordinates X, Y, and Z are the light parameters used. Each of these coordinates is an average value of the test results on the apical, middle and root of the stem parts. Separability of the fibre is determined using the formula: O=a+b·X+c·Y+d·Z, where O is the fibre separabilty; X, Y, Z are average values of the coordinates of colour; a, b, c, d are empirical coefficients. The given invention provides for increased accuracy and objectivity when determining separability of fibre in shale stock.
EFFECT: increased accuracy when determining separability of fibre in the shale stck.
