EVALUATION METHOD OF VITAL ACTIVITY LIMITS FOR POSTAPOPLECTIC PATIENTS Russian patent published in 2008 - IPC A61B5/00

Abstract RU 2325099 C1

FIELD: medicine; neurology.

SUBSTANCE: evaluation method of vital activity limits for postapoplectic patients (RuNoSKoK) includes score of functionalities with the subsequent score grading of the vital activity limit intensity and functionality preservation. Thereby the evaluation concerns the quantitative meaning of grading of the vital activity limit according to each criterion: self care which depends on the preservation of the upper limb functioning (Ru), moving and walking abilities which depend on lower limb and coordination static sphere (No), sensory function preservation including speech difficulties which effect on the communication of a patient (S), cognitive function and emotional individual sphere preservation (Ko), life quality (K). A 5 grading scale is used in this method where 5 is considered to be a norm, 4 - light limits, 3 - moderate limits, need in using of auxiliary attachments, 2 - expressed disorders, need in periodical help, and 1 - high limits, when it is impossible to do anything without external help. The first four criteria are made by the medical staff, and the last one by the patient. Received scores evaluate the health-related disabilities according to the following scale: 25 - high, completely saved functionality, 20-24 - light disabilities, 15-19 - moderate disabilities, 10-14 - expressed disability, 5 -9 - high disability and very low functionality.

EFFECT: instant getting of the information concerning the patient from the position of medical staff and patient himself.
