FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: worn working part of the blade is removed using a cutting-off grinding wheel. A new working part is made of medium-carbon steel, in the form of an angular plate. The said angular plate is sharpened to form a blade and strengthened by electrolysis borating from the back side. Before borating, through oval holes are made in the angular plate for its displacement as it wears. Threaded holes are made on the restored blade, for the angular plate attachment with screws. The angular plate is attached to the restored blade.
EFFECT: increased service life of restored blade.
