FIELD: metallurgy; electrolysis.
SUBSTANCE: said utility invention relates to the field of electrolytic production of fine-dispersed metallic powders and may be used during production of powders for the use as catalysts or filtering materials. Metal is plated from the electrolyte to a substrate of a conductive material indifferent to the plated metal and having a low thermal conductivity until the end of the stage when pentagonal micro- and nanoparticles with a cavity inside are formed from noncrystalline nucleuses. The obtained particles are detached from the substrate and conditions for their destruction with internal stresses are created. The particle destruction conditions are created by decreasing the particle shell thickness, for example, by etching, increasing their temperature or size. The invention allows to increase the specific area of powders after metal plating.
EFFECT: increased specific area of metallic powder after metal plating.
