FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy. Metal is plated on substrate from electrically conducting material of low heat conductivity and indifference to plating material. Formed micro- and nanocrystals are separated from substrate. In metal plating, growth of low-energy faces of micro- and nanocrystals is blocked while that of faces with the other crystal-lattice orientation is initiated. Ammonium bromide NH4Br is added to electrolyte in amount of 0.1...0.3 g/l in controlled potential mode at overvoltage across cathode of 80...200 mV or in galvanostatic mode at current density of 0.01...0.1 A/dm2.
EFFECT: developed specific surface of dispersed metal powder.
