FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to filter technology and can be used in medicine and chemical industry for fine purification of liquids. The membrane-sorption filter has three layers of filtering elements. The first layer is in form of a membrane with cells. The second and third layers are in form of frames, on the surface of which are put particles of a sorbing material. The unique feature of the filter is making the frames of the second and third layers from metal or non-metal, on the surface of which is deposited a metal coating in form of continuous or perforated plates or in form of a wire, the layer of which directed in space or arbitrarily placed. The sorbing material on the surface of the frames is in form of metallic micro- and nano-crystals and non-crystalline particles. Electric potential is applied on the frame of the third layer. If there are crystals or particles with cavities in the sorbing layer, the frames are subjected to electrochemical, chemical or thermal treatment until explosive destruction of these crystals and particles.
EFFECT: invention increases efficiency of purifying liquids and gases from mechanical and biological micro- and nano-particles.
