FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to multiple-position master switch for regulation of voltage in electric locomotive traction engines. Controller consists of foundation, where two longitudinal rods and three transverse frames are fixed, and there are coaxial master camshaft and reverse camshaft fixed between them. Speed setter in the form of potentiometer is mechanically connected to master camshaft. Mechanical interlock is made in the form of disk with rim installed on master shaft, and this disk rotates coaxially with profile disk of reverse shaft, along opposite sides of which there are two sliding levers with rollers at the ends. The other ends of levers are flexibly fixed in axes, which are installed in the middle transverse frame. At one of the levers, next to the roller, there is a bulge, which is located inside the main shaft disc rim so that disc rim may rotate around the bulge on the lever. There is a slot on the disc rim, which corresponds to "0" (neutral) position of main shaft, and the lever catches the slot with its bulge during rotation of reverse shaft profile disc (when mode is changed to "Forward" or "Backward") and blocks the controller main shaft.
EFFECT: improves controller reliability and reduces its design dimensions.
