FIELD: petroleum chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to petrochemical industry, in particular, to synthesis of cyclic 1,3-butadiene dimmers:4-vinylcyclohexane-1 and cyclooctadiene-1,4. The cyclic butadiene-1,3 dimers are produced by thermal dimerization in gas phase at increased temperature and pressure. Dimerization of butadiene-1,3 is effected in gas phase in a hydrogen atmosphere with the hydrogen to butadiene-1,3 ratio of (0.5-5.0): 1. In these conditions, the process occurs with a minimum formation of high-boiling by-products of butadiene-1,3 polymerization, that is, oligomers.
EFFECT: increase in process selectivity and efficiency, decrease in feedstock consumption.
