FIELD: petroleum chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the method of recovery of petroleum sludges incorporating their mixing up with hydrocarbon with subsequent separation of the mixture products into fractions. The method features using magnetic liquid as a hydrocarbon, the liquid being a colloid system of high-dispersion particles stabilized by surfactants in kerosene, while the mixing is effected with the weight magnetic liquid-to-petroleum product ratio of 0.9:1.2, The separation of resultant mixture is made in a magnetic separator at magnetic field intensity of 8-12 kA/m s and with the distance between poles of 60 mm in two stages. Here, at the first stage a solid residue is extracted along with a water hydrocarbon emulsion, which, at the second stage, is separated into magnetic liquid and petroleum product to be transferred to feedstock tank to be processed further on.
EFFECT: increase in the degree of extraction of products from petroleum sludge and simplification of separation process.
