FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: frontal sinuses diaphanography is performed. This procedure provides transmission through low walls and photography registration of flow intensity of back-scattered rays with frontal sinus tissues. Sinuses are transmitted with red spectral monochromatic radiation of two superb-light LEDs PG1N-5LRC at wave length 625 nm. Flow intensity of back-scattered rays with frontal sinus tissues is registered with digital camera "Dynax 5D", "Konica-Minolta" set for centre-scaled expose reading in area of whole frontal sinuses anterior wall, set for dotted exposure reading in area of internal one-third of sinuses anterior wall superciliary arch. Rates of flow intensity of back-scattered rays with frontal sinus tissues are calculated for left - R_1l., and right - R_1r. frontal sinuses. Values of R_1l.≥75% and/or R_1r.≥75% indicates norm of left and/or right frontal sinus. Values of R_1l.. and/or R_1r. within the range 67≥R_1l.≥63% and/or 67≥R_1r≥63% indicate double- or single-sided edema-infiltrative frontitis. Values of K_1l. And/or R_1r. within the range 53≥R_1l.≥31% and/or 53≥ R_1r.≥31% indicate double- or single-sided exudative frontitis.

EFFECT: enables to reduce considerably reflection, absorption and diffusion of red spectral monochromatic radiation with frontal sinus soft tissues; to provide precise and objective diagnostics of edema-infiltrative and exudative frontitis.
