FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention concerns processing industry and can be applied in technological process and manufacturing of equipment for polymer secondary raw materials processing. The process involves grinding, primary and fine purification, drying, granulation and agglomeration of polymer materials, the speed of raw material being kept equal at all processing stages. Ground material undergoes primary purification in dry condition. After dehydration the purified material is discharged as separate flocks granulated by drop formation in laminar air flow heated to the material's melting temperature. Raw material purification device consists of primary purification chamber, water-filled blending chamber and fine purification chamber placed along the raw material feed. Blending chamber contains device for oxygen-rich air supercharge. Dehydration and agglomeration device incorporates heat-chamber, proportioner, agglomeration chamber and hot air supercharger. Agglomeration chamber features coaxial internal and external cylinders, internal cylinder being connected with outlet pipe of discharge centrifuge and hot air supercharger, and in the vacant cavity of external cylinder an impeller and water sprayer are installed. Receiving reservoir with perforated cylindrical surface is installed at the opposite end of external cylinder and connected with the discharger of granulated agglomerate.
EFFECT: continuous processing of wide range of polymers and production of high purity agglomerate without mechanical granulators.
