FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention pertains to radio--chemistry and can be used in preparative chemistry and technology of separating nickel from industrial wastes. Nickel is settled through separation of a chloride of an alkaline metal or ammonia from an ammonia solution of nickel until final concentration of the chloride of alkaline metal or ammonia becomes more than 1 mole/l. The mother solution is separated from the sediment and the sediment is washed in ethanol.
EFFECT: separation of nickel and cleaning it from copper and zinc.
