FIELD: mechanics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to film lubrication bearing operation and mainly to roll mill bearings. Process fluid is applied to pre-cleaned operating surfaces of bearing items. Process fluid consists of repair and recovery compound mixed homogeneously in grease lubricant. Bearing is assembled and rotated as a unit regarding longitudinal axis applying external force to operating area of bearing items. Force value is 0.1 - 1.0% from loading capacity of bearing. In addition, protective layer is formed on operating surfaces in two stages. During second stage of protective layer formation, bearing is rotated and process fluid is applied periodically on operating surfaces of bearing items. Fluid contains repair and recovery compound which is homogeneously mixed in oil. Finally, operating surfaces of bearing items are rinsed.
EFFECT: increase of bearing life time and improvement of equipment operation reliability.
